Arkansas Progressive Rock Band TERMINUS Streams Their Debut Album, ‘Safe Travels, See You Never’ Ahead Of Its Release Later This Week
Fayetteville, Arkansas may be a backwater to some, but history has shown that backwaters are the most fertile breeding grounds of musical innovation and experimentation. Take Delta Blues, NOLA sludge, Scandinavian black metal, or Pacific Northwest grunge as examples. Maybe it’s the isolation from traditional centers of mainstream trends that protects the development of their style, maybe it’s the different rural perspective on life, hell, maybe it’s just something in the water. Terminus‘ brand of progressive heavy rock has the same flavors as southern compatriots Mastodon and Baroness but with a direction distinctly their own. The songs are at once open and airy, but also driving and energetic as they journey along their themes.
