Here we are at episode 8 of our regular heavy metal podcast, and it’s quite a well-rounded one. We start it off fairly light in the first set, get a little blackened and nasty in the second, and finish off with a thrashy third. Countries represented this time around include Russia, Italy, Greece, Spain, Canada, Chile, US, and Arkansas (not technically its own country, but come on…).

After a nine-year hiatus, Italy’s masters of melancholy are back with a new album. The wait was long, but thankfully there’s no rust to be found here, Novembre’s URSA is a beautiful work of melodic and progressive doom metal.
Another Metal Podcast Episode 7

And now, episode 7 of the least Googleable metal podcast on the net. This one is fairly low down and gritty; a lot of sludge, doom, and blackened dreariness. Also, there are two return bands to the podcast with Sweden’s 2 The Gallows and their country-mates Murdryck. Yes, I play a lot of Swedish music here on Another Metal Podcast, but I can’t help it, most great metal seems to come from there. Have we figured that one out yet? Fear not, I still manage to fit Hungary, Germany, the UK, France, Norway, and even Pennsylvania into this episode’s mix, so we’re quite well rounded.
