This one starts with thrash and death, gets a little blackened, and eventually finds where the stash was hidden. In following a bit of a trend, I’ve discovered that when I end the show with something a bit ‘off’ there’s a 9-in-10 chance it came from either Portland or Finland. Someone may want to look into that.

This is perhaps one of the ‘harshest’ episodes since, now that I think of it, only two of the twelve tracks feature any clean vocals at all; but then again this is metal so just try not throwing up some devil horns to each and every song.

Kicking things off is Sludgehammer from Toronto with some great death/thrash/groove loudness and from there descend into an interesting mix of metal from Sweden, Germany, Poland, France, and Indonesia.

Episode 11 just so happens to be the first installment of the show after switching to a weekly schedule. That essentially means double the new heavy metal every month and we can all agree that’s a good thing. Another good thing is the fact that this episode features killer bands from Finland, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Estonia, Australia, and the US. You could say this show ‘gets around’, if you know what I mean.
